CO-WORKING SPACE
THE BRIEF
Situated in a prime location in Bangalore, less than a kilometre from Halasuru Lake, one of the most iconic spots in the city, lies the glass-enveloped co-working space. The privacy of the inhabitants is maintained while adding to the aesthetics of the structure through the provision of a green buffer.
DESIGN
The structure is composed of staggered cuboidal projections and a naturally curved glass façade. This creates a strong exterior volume, making a bold statement and aesthetically allowing the building to stand out in the dense urban context. The short travel distance between spaces in the building reflects a fundamentally direct approach to working space while retaining the flexibility to shift the said spaces as needed. The projected cubicles encourage interconnections in the form of break zones provided for social interactions. The vertical garden provides an aesthetically pleasing view to break the monotony of an office interior as well as the exterior. The elevation creates a contemporary feel within the neighbourhood.
