DESIGN

We at SAS conceptualized the site fit out challenge by setting the building towards the West and have a larger public function such as swimming pool, plaza with the plinth towards the North East with roads abutting on three sides. The rectangular volumes of bricks rise interspersed by glass section creates an interesting play of Solid and void, making room for ample natural light and ventilation. Large spans enable us to have column free spaces providing flexibility and adaptability to the space usage. A perforated metal screen highlights the entrance of the building and also provides filtered light into the interior spaces. Entire structure has been designed keeping in mind the climatic conditions and passive design strategies to enrich the thermal comfort inside and around the building. The Pool & Landscape areas surround the built component to create an excellent buffer layer separating the enclosed spaces and the busy roads around. The pool & rejuvenation center entries have been planned and diverted in such a way that even the general public can access the facilities without any disturbance to the regular functions of the Rehabilitation center.
